In November 2006, Great Kingshill Cricket Club became the 661st cricket club in England, and one of the first in Buckinghamshire, to achieve the prestigious Clubmark accreditation.
ECB ClubMark status is only awarded to Clubs whose junior sections meet stringent tests on the quality of coaching, the safety of their environment for children and their commitment to young cricketers of all abilities and ages.
Clubs are required to present evidence and demonstrate implementation across four different themes, culminating in the production of a Club Development Plan.
The four themes are:
• Duty of Care and Safeguarding Children
• The Cricket Programme
• Sports Equity and Ethics
• Club Management
